About the team
Working from the Queenstown base in Frankton in the heart of beautiful Central Otago, Southern DHB's Child and Family Mental Health Service (CAFMHS) in Central Lakes provide support and treatment for children (0-18 years) experiencing moderate to severe mental health issues, including support to family.

About the role
This position will see you managing a limited caseload, providing assessment, treatment and co-working to facilitate the best outcome for children and family. You will enjoy working collaboratively alongside other experienced clinical staff to promote healthy family systems and be able to form sound links with external agencies.
You will be required to participate on an after-hours on call roster and be a DAO (Duly Authorised Officer) or undertake training. A current, full driver's licence is essential.
About you
You will bring to this role flexibility and experience in working with children and family within a multidisciplinary setting. We provide good orientation to the position and will support your ongoing professional development needs. You'll need to demonstrate effective clinical psychological assessment and intervention skills. It goes without saying you will be a strong communicator, who is flexible with excellent organisational and time management skills.
To be considered you must be registered with the NZ Psychologists Board, with Clinical Scope and have an Annual Practising Certificate, you will also require a driver's licence.
