About the Team About the Role / About You We have available, a permanent full time role based in Dunedin but with a requirement of district wide travel. This role for an experienced Mental Health professional (Registered Nurse, Social Worker, Occupational therapist or Clinical Psychologist) working within our district wide mobile Youth Forensic service. You will provide an effective, efficient service for youth who are engaged in offending behaviours within the juvenile justice system and who are also experiencing emotional and/or mental health disorders. To be successful in this role you will:
There is a degree of working autonomously with this role, but you must also to be an active team member, alongside providing consultation support to the Child, Adolescent and Family Service Team based on the Southland site. A current full drivers’ licence is required, as a component of the position is working in the community covering required need in Invercargill, Queenstown and other rural areas. We provide good orientation to our roles and will support your on-going professional development needs. You must be a Registered Mental Health Professional, with a current APC – and have experience in working within a mental health sector with children, adolescents and their families.
