Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services

Are you a registered mental health clinician (e.g. Child Psychotherapist, Social Work, Occupational Therapist, Clinical Psychologist or Registered Nurse) interested in working with children and adolescents experiencing mental health issues?

We are looking for self-motivated clinicians to join our multi-disciplinary team to work across both child and adolescent age groups.

These are community based positions, and includes care management, provision of therapeutic interventions and rostered after hours crisis work.  You will work in innovative ways to support the recovery of tamariki and rangatahi and provide whanau interventions when indicated.

Applicants will be able to provide comprehensive mental health assessments, work collaboratively with young people and their Whanau to develop meaningful and effective treatment plans and deliver effective evidence based treatment for young people.

Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) provides a positive learning environment with clinical supervision and opportunities for professional development.  We have strong links to CAMHS across the region and access to regional specialty services to support our local service provision.

These are permanent full or part time positions, working Monday to Friday. The positions will include rostered after hours crisis service on call duties.

These roles will be based at the Wairarapa DHB in Masterton. However, these roles are part of the 3DHB MHAIDS service, and MHAIDS have now moved to a lead DHB model effective from 31 August 2020 which means that all MHAIDS employees are under the employment of Capital & Coast DHB from this date.

For further information please contact Elizabeth Menzel, Team Leader CAMHS on (06) 946-9808.
